  • Julie Edwards
    Julie Edwards Senior Administrator

Most of my career has been spent in the voluntary sector, initially in the arts and subsequently for a family support charity.  As the Senior Administrator I’m responsible for managing the administration of the office, which also includes supporting the Chief Executive and the Board of Trustees.

I enjoy working at ASH because it’s an organisation that is both ambitious and creative, and constantly punches above its weight in challenging the complex landscape of tobacco control.

Outside of work I am a foster carer and mum to a teenager.  Spending time with my family and my dog, preferably on a beach in West Wales, are when I’m at my happiest.

  • Mandy Powell
    Mandy Powell Head of Policy

I’m a qualified information professional with over 15 years’ experience of working with public and third sector organisations across Wales and the wider UK.

I’ve worked on development strategies for both the Westminster and Welsh Governments and am an experienced organiser of events and conferences.

I have a passion for bringing groups of people together to share knowledge and problem solve, I specialise in using an evidence-based approach to make compelling cases to secure funding for service development.

  • Beth Mahoney
Beth Mahoney Marketing and Communications Manager

I’ve worked in marketing and events for over 15 years, before joining ASH Wales I was Marketing and Communications Manager at Welsh mental health charity Gofal, which included delivering the Time to Change Wales campaign to reduce the stigma of mental health. My background is diverse and includes housing, technology and the dental sector. I feel passionately about working to improve the health and wellbeing of people in Wales and to reduce health inequalities.

Outside of work I enjoy family life, keeping fit, getting outdoors in the amazing Welsh countryside and travelling and experiencing different cultures.

  • Kimberley Martin
    Kimberley Martin Marketing Officer

I graduated from Cardiff University in 2015 and completed an internship with the Welsh Rugby Union Enterprise Academy, where I developed my commercial and marketing experience. I then worked for regional rugby teams within the South Wales area, Dragons and Cardiff Blues. In 2018 I transitioned to the non-profit sector and am the current Marketing Officer for ASH Wales. My responsibilities include managing social media, developing the website and our various campaigns.

I am particularly interested in campaigns which focus on behaviour change as a means of improving public health.

In my spare time I enjoy getting creative, whether that is upscaling furniture or writing a blog post. I also love to bake and scrapbook.

  • Diana Milne
    Diana Milne PR Officer

I started my career as a reporter at a weekly newspaper in North London, before moving into magazine journalism. During my career I have written for and edited a wide variety of business and lifestyle magazines and most recently worked on a UK-wide magazine for retirees.

Prior to this I edited B2B magazines and spent three years working for a publishing company in Dubai, UAE, where I worked on publications covering business management, personal finance and the Middle East IT sector.

I have always had a strong interest in the healthcare sector and spent time as a lay reviewer of maternity services for Health Inspectorate for Wales. As PR officer for ASH Wales I will use my journalism experience to raise awareness of the charity’s campaigns and highlight the work that is being done across Wales to reduce smoking prevalence.

Outside work I love spending time with my family and friends, I am part of a book group and recently completed a couch to 5K running course.

  • Juliette Verdier
    Juliette Verdier EVS Volunteer

I have just finished studying marketing for two years in France. After that, I wanted to have an experience abroad to use my skills, develop my competences and improve my English. Plus, I have been interested in the health and wellbeing sectors since I was very young. That is why it was for me a great opportunity to join the ASH Wales team to contribute towards tackling tobacco use.

I support the marketing and communications team in its different projects. I also like to work on graphic design and photography for the website and social media. I am part of the European Voluntary Service programme which allows young people like me to travel while gaining professional experience and making themselves useful.

In my spare time, I like going to the gym, going out with my friends or with my family. I also enjoy listening to music, reading and travelling.
