Working Together For a Smokefree Wales

UNited voice for a smoke-free wales

The Wales Tobacco Control Alliance (WTCA) is an independent coalition of health, community, and professional organisations working together to end the harm caused by tobacco in Wales.

Led by ASH Wales, the WTCA champions bold, evidence-based action to reduce smoking, tackle inequality, and protect future generations.

Our shared priorities reflect the urgent need to:

  • Reduce smoking rates in every community
  • Tackle health inequalities linked to tobacco use
  • Protect children and young people
  • Invest in prevention and public health
  • Strengthen quit support across Wales

From backing targeted lung screening in the most at-risk areas to embedding quit support in everyday spaces like food banks and pharmacies, WTCA members are united in calling for long-term change – and have set out their Manifestos for Change ahead of the 2026 Senedd election.
