WEDINOS reported that 43% of THC, CBD or cannabinoid vape products submitted in 2025/26 contained synthetic cannabinoid receptor agonists, sometimes known as Spice.
What this does not tell us: this does not mean 43% of young people’s vapes contain these substances. These were samples submitted to a drug-testing service, not a representative survey of young people in Wales.
What to keep an eye on: unfamiliar or unregulated products sold as THC, CBD or cannabinoid vapes, particularly where the contents are uncertain.
