No Ifs. No Butts. is ASH Wales’ anonymous reporting route for concerns about illegal tobacco, illegal vapes and related sales. If you want to understand the warning signs and current rules first, see illegal tobacco and vapes in Wales. Reports can include a shop, location, seller, online account, product, price, pattern or anything else that may help identify what is happening locally.
The public are never expected to investigate a seller or put themselves at risk. A concern can still be useful when you do not have all the details.
You do not need proof
Report what you have seen, heard or noticed. A partial picture can still help when it is combined with other local intelligence.
Stay anonymous
The reporting route is anonymous. Share the detail you are comfortable providing without having to identify yourself.
Never confront a seller
Your safety comes first. Do not investigate, challenge or approach anyone. Report the concern and leave any follow-up to the appropriate agencies.
What can I report?
Reports can help build intelligence around:
Illegal tobacco
Suspected counterfeit, illicit or unusually cheap tobacco products and sales.
Illegal vapes
Products or sales that appear illegal, including concerns about banned or non-compliant vapes.
Underage sales
Concerns about tobacco or vape products being sold to children and young people.
Online & emerging sales
Social media or online sellers, cannabis/THC products, synthetic cannabinoids and other suspicious nicotine-related sales.

ASH Wales has used community intelligence from No Ifs. No Butts. to track patterns in illegal tobacco, illegal vapes, underage sales and emerging products across Wales. Our 2022–2025 report brings that evidence together and helps show where concerns are changing.
