What made the campaign work
Real voices
Voices of Wales invited people to share why they quit, why they wanted to quit or how smoking had affected their lives. More than 100 entries gave the campaign a human voice.
Local action
Health Boards, pharmacies, local services, schools, youth settings and community organisations took the campaign into places people already use and trust.
Ready-to-use resources
Printed packs and downloadable toolkits made it easier for organisations to run their own conversations and activity without starting from scratch.
The stories behind the campaign
The strongest part of No Smoking Day 2026 was hearing from people whose lives had been shaped by smoking and quitting.
260,000 Reasons to Quit
Our No Smoking Day story bringing together campaign activity and real voices from across Wales.
Tiffany's quit story
