What are nicotine toothpicks?
They look like toothpicks but contain nicotine. They are held or chewed in the mouth and do not make smoke or vapour.
Why does this matter?
They are small, discreet and may not be recognised as nicotine products by parents, teachers or youth workers.
What don’t we know?
We have confirmed that UK-facing retailers sell nicotine toothpicks, but that does not tell us how common they are.
We do not have a reliable Wales-wide figure for use among young people.
