What Wales did in 2026
No Smoking Day 2026 put real voices and local action at the centre of the campaign. Working with Public Health Wales, Health Boards, schools, youth settings, healthcare services and community partners, ASH Wales helped take quitting messages into communities across the country.

What that looked like on the ground
Real stories
The Voices of Wales initiative received more than 100 entries from people sharing their own experiences of quitting. Those stories shaped the tone of the campaign and helped make quitting feel real and relatable.
Health services
All seven Health Boards supported activity, from hospital stands and local promotion to family-centre sessions, staff engagement and Help Me Quit signposting.
Schools and communities
Schools, youth clubs, pharmacies, community groups, fire and rescue services and local organisations used the campaign to start conversations in their own settings.
